Category A1 Rules For Motorcyclists

Category a1 rules are for those who want to drive small motorcycles. They have cylinder capacity of up to 35kW. They cannot be derived from vehicles with more than twice their power.

Open category drone operations are divided into three subcategories, namely A1 to A3. You can fly drones that have class C0 or C1 as part of the kurs jazdy na motocyklu a1 subcategory (fly over people) until January 2024.

A1

Category cena egzaminu a1 is the first of three drone categories that are regulated by EASA. It applies to aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight (MTOM), which is 25 kilograms. It requires a record of flight, a flight plan and an identification system for remote use and a geoawareness. The drone must be in the view of the pilot at all time. It is not permitted to fly over groups of people or in areas used for industrial, commercial or recreational purposes. The drone must stay below 120 meters.

Candidates for a category A1 license must have at minimum 16 years of riding two-wheeled motor vehicles. They must also have completed the mandatory basic training and pass both a theory and practical test. Moreover, they must possess a valid medical certificate.

A1 license holders are allowed to use two-wheeled mopeds as they ensure that their capacity for cylinders is not greater than 125 cc and their power to weight ratio is no more than 0.1 kW/kg. They are also able to drive motorcycles with an cylinder capacity of not greater than 125cc as well as quad bikes and trikes.

The category A1 driving license is designed to facilitate access to the next category, which permits license holders to drive vehicles with a maximum authorised mass of up to 35 kW. This is a reason to gain experience driving vehicles with less power prior to moving on to higher category of licence.

Drones that are being used but do not have the CE mark are able to be flown under subcategory "A1" until January 1st, 2024. They are low-risk and pose no significant threat to the general public. A2

You may be eligible for an A1 license after you have completed your CBT and are interested in getting an motorcycle license. This allows you drive an unrestricted motorcycle without a sidecar. It must have a cylinder capacity of up to 125cc and a power output of up to 11 kW. You must also be 16 years old to get this licence. You can also fly in the A2 category with drones with a mass of up to 4kg however, you must keep them at a safe distance from other people during take-off and landing. The distances of separation are lateral, not vertical and drones must be kept a minimum of 30m away from people who aren't involved, or 5m when they're in low-speed mode. To fly in this category, you need to also pass the A2 Certificate of Competence exam (A2 CofC).

If you want to fly larger drones, you'll need to apply for an operator's permit in a specific category. This requires you to complete the General VLOS Certificate training, flight assessment and prepare an Operations Manual. The process for applying is similar to a PfCO. A2 allows you to operate transitional drones that aren't yet CE certified, but have been modified to reduce the risk of collisions with people. These drones are only permitted to fly in A2 up until the year 2022's end. After this, they will have to comply with the A3 regulations.

The A1 and A2 categories will allow you to become a safe and confident motorcyclist. The number of lessons needed depends on your level of ability and progress in learning, however, you must complete a specific amount of special rides. This includes at least five lessons on country roads, four on highways and three lessons in darkness or dawn.

A3

This category allows drones with an maximum takeoff mass of 25 kg. While it is a lower risk operation, strict precautions are required to prevent potential incidents. A safety distance of 150m must be maintained between industrial, commercial, residential and recreation areas. This category also requires drones to have a remote identification system and geoawareness systems.

The tier is also split into sub-categories, A1, A2, or A3. Drones that have a Class identification label C2 may be operated in subcategory A2 provided the drone meets the size requirements and the remote pilot passes an additional test of theoretical knowledge. This exam is designed to test the remote pilot's comprehension of the operational and technical mitigations that address the added risks of flying larger drones (class C2, weighing less than 4kg mass) close to people. The certificate of competence to fly Category A2 is given upon successful completion of the test.

There are 'transitional arrangements' which allow older drones that aren't certified, to operate under the categories A1 or A2 for two years following the introduction of the new EU regulations. Legacy drones cannot be used to fly over people and must carry an A2 CofC.

To operate a drone in this category you must pass the normal online flyer ID test, and follow up with a second theoretical test. You also need to prove that you have some actual understanding of your drone and then submit a written proof of competence. These requirements are similar in nature to the driving license model, whereby the driver who has first obtained their license for a vehicle in a lower category can then move up to the higher category.

A4

The DOH is currently working on detailed guidelines to be used in category A4. These guidelines will be in line with other operations, and will include specifics such as the number of dressings changed per day. They will be presented to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infections (IATF-EID) and the DOH National Immunization Technical Advisory Group. Before they are finalized, the guidelines will be reviewed and ratified by both the DOH National Immunization Technical Advisory Group and the IATF-EID.

Drones bearing the C0 or C1 are able to be flying within 50 metres of those who aren't involved in the incident. This is a low-risk class, kurs jazdy na motocyklu a1 but strict precautions are still required to minimize incidents. Drones that do not fall in either Kup Prawo Jazdy Kategorii A1 or A2 must pass an additional test of theoretical knowledge to operate in this subcategory.

This test is designed to assess the knowledge of the additional risks associated with flying drones in close proximity to people. A successful passing of the test earns an official certificate of competence for this subcategory. The pilot must maintain a minimum distance of 30 meters from any person who is not involved or 5 metres when flying in a slow flight mode.

You will need to take a certain amount of lessons to pass the theory test, and then you must pass the practical test. This amount varies depending on your age, abilities and progress in learning. But, at least 12 lessons of 90 minutes must be completed.

In these classes, you will become familiar with your vehicle and traffic laws. Additionally, you will receive tips on how to drive in difficult situations. In addition to the required classes, you are required to attend a specified number of special rides.

The new category E amalgamates classes kurs jazdy na motocyklu A1 (retail), class A2 (financial and professional services) and class B1 (offices) Class A4 (restaurants/cafes) and classes A5 and Kurs Jazdy Na Motocyklu a1 B5 (hot food takeaway). It also includes medical and health-related uses, creches and nurseries and indoor recreation facilities. The change is likely to streamline the licensing process and reduce costs. It will also permit landlords to use their buildings in ways that are not currently permitted.
