What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds a new widget at the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. This Manager costs 33 billion Angel Investors and offers no benefits to gameplay other than making it easier to find and purchase upgrades.

Boosters

With an item upgrader you can enjoy many bonuses. They could include a variety of stats, as well as many additional bonuses. These bonuses can be utilized on armor, weapons and trinkets. Some of these boosts are only beneficial in certain builds (such as Whistan's shield for FB sorcs) while others can provide a great deal of value to certain collectors.

Some items have a built-in boos which is less effective when upgraded. For example the Goldwrap provides extra slots for potion. These are often upp'd to add value to an item that is perfect or close to being perfect.

Costs

Upgrades have some associated costs. The most significant cost is the upgrade itself. This price is contingent on the new level of the item and the number of perks it receives and is often expensive. It can also be expensive to upgrade an item to a higher level (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).

The second is the price of the materials needed for an upgrade. The items used are typically either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21+) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). Success Rate

An Upgrade Pity is an item you can purchase from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the chances of a successful upgrade by some percentage. It is similar to the "luck bonus" that some items offer however it is more reliable. This can be added to any weapon or armor and is used three times.

You can also add additional materials to the upgrade to increase its chances of success. The materials are displayed in a window above the + button. There are a few limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is displayed directly above the + button.

A Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version, can be used to increase the odds of an upgrade succeeding. This item is helpful in the event that you have an item of equipment that has reached the highest level for its tier or is close to it. It will let you upgrade that piece of equipment to the next level without risking it breaking.

If an upgrade fails the system will be returned to its original condition. This is usually an upgrade, but it could also be an upgrade. Save an upgrade until you are nearing the highest level for an item.

There are several items in the Kafra shop that can be used to increase the odds of a successful upgrade.
