Item upgrades provide players with the ability to upgrade equipment that they already have. This can be done through any item upgrader NPC.

Generally upgrades increase an items main stats and provide extras depending on the item type. Examples include Whistan’s shield for FB Sorcs, or Goldwraps for caster builds.

Armour

Armour is among the main factors that keep Link protected from damage in the majority of situations. While it cannot be upgraded like weapons, it can be improved in various ways to increase its defence capabilities.

Armour is designed to safeguard animals or people from harm or injury from direct physical attack or a variety of activity or environmental hazards. Historically, armour was mostly made from fabric or leather, but later metal protections were also used, item upgrades especially in military applications such as heavy cavalry or combat drones.

There are many ways to upgrade armour however, the majority require you to visit one of four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a unique degree of upgrades available and more will provide higher levels of protection, but require a higher price in rupees and other materials to unlock.

The first thing to note about Armor Upgrades is that they are permanent upgrades which means that once they've been applied they cannot be replaced unless there is another piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. You should only apply the most advanced upgrades to your equipment and make sure that you have the equipment needed to complete the process.

You can find the upgrades you need in many places throughout Hyrule. These include shrines, merchants, and even enemies. They're usually identified by a blue triangle or a gold circle symbol. They are available in large numbers as you progress. They could appear randomly, however there is a chance that getting certain upgrades will trigger a quest that will reward you with more.

It is important to remember that even though the amount that upgrades offer may vary but it will always be more than zero. This is because a full set of upgraded armor will provide you with a substantial defense boost that protects you from all forms of attacks, excluding magic, making it a powerful tool for any type of.

Weapons

You can upgrade your guns with special upgrades to make them unique. These upgrades can boost damage or alter the stats of the weapon in accordance with your particular build. There are two NPCs who can upgrade item your weapons: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs will accept your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a more powerful version of the weapon as well as an upgrade.

It's important to prioritise upgrading your top-of-the-line items first, then those you won't be replacing in the near future. If you're planning on playing an asymmetrical build, for example, upgrade your weapon first, then your shoulders and chest before your feet and hands. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. But, depending on the style you play, certain specific items are more beneficial than others. Armour is no different, with some reforges better than others.

Magic Items

A character can only upgrade one Best item upgrade of magic. If an upgrade project is canceled then any subsequent upgrades for the item won't begin. Magic items that are upgraded cost twice the amount of gold they normally cost to create or buy, but they can also provide additional benefits.

Utility items are any equipment that isn't part of the categories of Armor or Clothing and have a variety of capabilities. They are not compatible with each other, in contrast to Armor or Weapons. Most utility items have a passive effect which players can activate while using them. However, some of them have additional abilities that can be activated by pressing a button, or by activating an ability.

The Flashlight is the most popular utility item. It is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other options include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow players to fly in the air while moving, and the Jetpack, which allows the player to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. Many utility items can be instantly manufactured in the Engineering section while others are unlockable through Research projects or experimental projects at the Proving Ground.

In addition to the items that are available in the normal inventory, players can also obtain the most powerful utility items by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items can be upgraded for more efficient use.

The majority of utility items boost a specific combat attribute or give the player some kind of navigation advantage. Sharpening stones, crafted by a Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity while Maintenance Oils, created by the Huntsman will increase concentration and healing power. Other items of utility can be utilized by players to boost Damage or Condition Damage.

XCOM soldiers can equip a single utility item to begin the campaign. A second slot is available once you have completed certain research, engineering or experiments on the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are created by equipping the Grenade Launcher which allows the player to equip a Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot while an offensive grenade is placed in the main grenade slot.
