Our testers loved the ease of access offered by the side panel which can be moved upwards and down with one click of a button. This was particularly helpful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach inside and pick their baby up without waking them.

The side panel can be lowered on its own however, it's not recommended since it increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism means that it can only remain in place if it is connected to the parent's bed correctly. This is an excellent feature to have in place for peace of mind, particularly when you're breastfeeding and need frequent nighttime feedings.
