The Roomie Glide is available to purchase from John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna considered to be a reasonable cost for a cot that has these innovative features. She also liked the way it appeared in the bedroom and thought that the grey color would suit most modern homes. However, she did point that it's not a great idea to rock a younger baby as it could set an unhealthy habit that can affect later sleep patterns.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed with a secure night's rest in mind. It has a drop side rail that is easily lowered to feed your baby at night without having to disturb your baby or get them out of bed - it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It's also light and easy to move around during nap time or for travel.

We love the fact that it's made of soft fabrics with breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and ease of use. It's available in oak and charcoal and has a variety of melange fabric options that are compatible with all decor styles. Anna discovered that it was sturdy and secure after being affixed to her bed. The legs snapped into place and the zippers were secured for security. It took Anna approximately 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer service number should you have any problems.

Alongside the usual features you'd expect from a bedside co sleeper cot crib, like being able to be connected to your existing bed using a stay-in place connection system and six levels of height The CoZee comes with an additional incline option that can be used to ease reflux or congestion in babies. It can also be washed by a machine and is a must for all the dribbles and vomit that accompany a new baby!

The CoZee is a fantastic option for keeping your child close during the first six months of acquiring the ability to sleep independently. It can be used as a crib, changing station or toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension pack, it could be transformed into an actual cot. And while it won't feed your baby or magically make them sleep it will gently rock them to send them off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's more expensive alternatives. However, it comes with many amazing features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib that is suitable for infants from birth to six months. It has a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel, and is simple to use, even for one-handed operation. It's also more adjustable than the previous model, with 11 different height settings as well as legs that retract to place under any bed.

Our testers were impressed with the simple access the side panel provides, which can be flipped up and down with just one push of a button. This was particularly useful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach in and pick up their baby without disturbing them.

The side panel can be removed by itself however it isn't recommended as this increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot.
