If you're on a tight budget and don't require a stroller that doubles into a car seat carrier, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip flop friendly.

It's simple to push, and it feels solid when you are walking along woodland paths and kerbs. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the ultimate lightweight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, due to its super nimble manoeuvrability and foldable design that can be tucked away in the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The latest version has independent suspension on all 4 wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly navigate all terrains and types'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a stylish pushchair that has a soft elegant look. The base frame alone weighs less than a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it using one hand).

The hood, for example is able to snap onto the YOYO2 in a reassuring manner. It's also machine washable up to 30 degrees which helps prevent stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It could also be converted to a stroller by 6 months with the YOYO connect other chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great option for parents looking for a stroller that is versatile. It transforms from a stroller to wagon by simply flipping the handle, which means parents can choose the mode they prefer for their journey. The wagon can hold one or two kids from 6 months to 5 years old, and it has a wide storage basket to accommodate everything you need on the go.

The Xplore also features dual canopies that move from the front to the back, offering ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that is not as large or deep as other wagons, which means it may not be ideal for longer excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore feels sturdy and solid however it doesn't have the same flexibility as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it's not able to lock tight after folding. It is easy to move however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents who are looking for a second stroller that is affordable. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and folded size that means it's light, compact when folded and easy to put into a trunk of a car or closet. It also comes with the option of reclining in multiple positions and a parent cup holder. Other key features include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree front wheels that are shock-absorbing.

It did better in our push and turn test than a lot of the other strollers we tested, but it is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only direct overhead coverage, and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger canopy sizes.

The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to put together with an average manual, and none of the components required tools. The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair and is marketed as a travel system for urban use. It is suitable from birth until 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted in a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a lightweight Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible baby carriage.

The seat can be reclined using one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it easy for parents to take their child in and out. Despite this being quite a small pushchair, it was able to handle the bumps of everyday life well and slid through doors without any fuss.

The front wheels can be locked in forward positions or allow them to swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel during our walk on the stony path. It handled this reasonably well, even though it felt to be a bit bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most famous for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain, strollers for jogging. However, they also manufacture a vast range of 4-wheeler pushchairs. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It folds easily and fits easily into the trunk of a car even with a carrycot attached.

It is a bit heavier than other strollers that we test, but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and sturdy. It maneuvers expertly across different kinds of terrain, and it's also a breeze to lift even with two children and a shopping bag.

The seat and carrycot both have hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are strong and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams that can be blown back onto toddlers' faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or plenty of food. It can also be linked with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for infants up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a excellent choice if you wish to take a stroller with you on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that captured the hearts of many parents when it first came out. It's a stroller made of aluminum which can be used from the baby's first days to beyond. It has many standout features, like the ability of the seat to flip between parent and world facing and a huge UPF50+ canopy, an eye shade that flips out, and an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis has a built-in suspension system that reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed of tough foam and reduce punctures. Our tester found it to be smooth to push and was able to maneuver it through tight streets with ease.

It folds in just four steps, and locks automatically without fuss. It can also be rolled and repositioned for easy transport down the stairs or in the car's boot. It also comes with a travel system equipped with the ability to add a car seat and a carrycot using the adaptors that come with it. The brakes are simple to use, using a single push chair color coded and flip-flop friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is simple to operate and features a great dual suspension. It folds by one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also extremely light and robust. The seat can be reclined into various positions. It also comes with a built-in double-breathable mattress that can be used from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors, both of which are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't great - it's not as silent as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be set so that they face each other. They can also be oriented to face the parents. This will help reduce sibling arguments over who gets seated with dad and mom. It has a huge bottle holder, a gear tray snack tray, and a change mat. It also has an automatic frame lock and a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the ideal jogger for parents that like to be active. It is one of the lightest strollers for running that you can buy for your child. The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters to fit most bassinets and infant car seats however, you can use them from the first day with adapters that fit brands like BOB, Graco combi single stroller Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes between 5 and 10 minutes to assemble with no tools. The instruction manual is easy to comprehend and contains multiple languages.
