You could, for instance ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models cannot. The only problem is that it is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning on the app will reveal exactly what the robot done, where it is moving, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance tasks are required including emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. 2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. Unlike last year's model it comes with a double agitator in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that allows it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.

Like the two other Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then automatically change its path and clean them without missing a beat.

It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin automatically refills.

The only downside I found to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The app is intuitive and easy to use, and the X40's smart features are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and robots that vacuum and mop comes with numerous features that make it a great option for busy families. The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot vacuums best that's among the most expensive available however, it comes with many additional features that distinguish it from. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it comes with an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.

The mopping system is well-designed, and the double rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
