It didn't mop however, and its removable automatic cleaning robot pads were difficult to attach and could not deal with dirt that had dried on.

Its app isn't equipped with advanced features like multiple cleaning modes or automated scheduling. It supports Alexa but its voice controls don't seem to be very clear or responsive. And it's also a little difficult when it comes to getting back to the charging station after running -- other robots can trace a previous path or follow a wall around until they get to their home however the RX3 is a fumbler until it finally gives up and sends a failure message to your phone.

Another issue we had was with its clever features, particularly the mapping function and the digital keep-out zones. It was good at keeping our furniture legs and shoes away however it could easily get hanging up on socks, cables, and carpets. That's why we chose not to include it on our Best Buy list. Still, with a decent price and impressive performance The Scout RX3 is worth considering in the event you're looking to find an alternative to traditional uprights.
