Fab and Fix Windsor Inline Sprung Lever Door Handle

The handles of uPVC/Composite are constructed of tough materials and are ideal for multi-point lock doors that require a robust design. The handles are inline, and they utilize the same screws and spindle to fix them. They can be easily mounted on any uPVC/Composite doors.

The handle can be placed and angled to fit any user. The handle has been endurance-tested to 200 000 cycles. This helps to ensure that the finish is of high quality and performance over time. The lever that springs is adjustable to fit a broad range of locks. This is useful for narrower doors where the cylinder is situated further back in the door. A lever that is shorter is a good choice for doors where the latch can be operated by a thumb turn on the inside.

Lever Pad

The lever pad upvc handle is different from the lever handles that are found on most doors. The handle can work off one single spindle (inline) or independently from both sides using two offset spindles or inline (pad). They are typically used on UPVC double glazed door handle-glazed doors and are available in a variety of variations and finishes.

The handles are available in a variety of finishes including White chrome and Gold. The finish is BS EN 1670 Grade 5 and is resistant to corrosion. This provides the handle with an outstanding performance and durability to serve the purpose it was designed for.

All UPVC levers for handles come with a spindle, screws and can be installed on the uPVC door. The backplate fixation centers of 211mm allow for a bigger handle, which is typically a benefit when replacing an old or faulty multi-point door lock mechanism. The handle levers come with a spring, which solves the issue of handles for doors that slide out of the horizontal position when not in use.

It is crucial to match up the PZ dimensions of both the multipoint lock as well as the uPVC doors when choosing a replacement UPVC spindle and handle. This measurement is also referred to as 'handle centres or cylinder centres'. It is important to match the right handles.

A cylinder that is protruding beyond the handle and escutcheon could be vulnerable to attacks such as lock snapping, so it is essential that it's not too long.

The majority of modern cylinders have been constructed with bump and anti-drill features that are built into their design. They are designed to decrease the risk of attack by causing the cylinder to rotate in the opposite direction. This will help deflect the attack, and keep your door safe.

There are cylinders that are designed to resist snapping. This is a common occurrence on cylinders. A specific tool is used to break the break line of the lock, and then the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is much quicker and easier to achieve than opening the door with multipoint locks and leaves no evidence of a burglary, which could hinder an insurance claim.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette is found within the base plate of the door handle. It is a spring-loaded solution to bring your multipoint lock window handles to their original position after usage. The handles were previously equipped with no spring and would drop when the locking mechanism was removed. This simple feature is one of the most effective ways to fix this and it is also a great way to prevent your doors made of upvc from getting stuck in either closed or open position, since they aren't always easy to close manually.

These spring cassettes are specially made for use with multipoint locks sprung, they will not fit multipoint handles that are not sprung and you will need to have a hole specifically cut in your backplate to allow these to fit (please see image for technical diagram). They are a replacement for existing damaged or missing cassettes inside the backplates of door handles of many kinds of uPVC doors. They are sold as one unit. They feature a square cut out that can accommodate an 8mm shaft.
