Path of Exile Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a common and essential way to boost the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can be a fantastic source of damage or more AD or even more attachments.

Often times however upgraded Common and Magic gear is often surpassed by Rare-grade gear because of their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a form of upgrade that can be applied to weapon and armor items. They improve the performance of the item level upgrade they are attached to. Upgrades to armor can be found in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at bonfires. Additionally, they can be salvaged from items with upgrade components in them using a specialist or more powerful salvage kit.

The amount of damage an armored piece or weapon will absorb is contingent on the degree of upgrades. The upgrade of an armor piece to maximum upgrade level will boost its damage absorption. However, it's important to note that this will also increase its weight, causing it to weigh more than it was before.

There are a few different kinds of armor upgrades available in the game, and they all have distinct effects. Some upgrades give armor an additional number of health points, while others make it lighter and more powerful. The type of armor upgrade that an item will receive is indicated by the name of the upgrade as indicated in the table below.

Some of the upgrades also require magic or a combination of technology and magic, which is identified by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table. Additionally, some upgrades require a charge to use, which are shown by the "Charges" entry in the table below. The charges for these upgrades are updated daily or never expire, depending on the upgrade.

The cheapest way to upgrade armor is with Iron Ore, which can be gathered by exploring the environment and looting chests of minor loot. Titanium is more expensive however, it is available in the smelters of Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, such as the Reforge or the Hot Potato Books can only be applied to high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can provide significant improvements in stats and are well worth the investment.

The player should be aware, however, that upgrading a piece to the maximum upgrade level can increase its defense value. However, it will also decrease its agility and its speed. This is why it is not recommended to upgrade the majority of armor pieces above +9, since the defensive boost gained is usually not worth the weight and power cost of the upgrades required.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players the ability to improve certain aspects of their weapon. For instance, an upgrade may improve the damage that is caused by a shotgun's shells or the accuracy of a rifle that snipes. Certain firearms also have upgrades that improve their innate characteristics. They include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and minimizes overheating of the weapon) and Kinetic Coils (increases the speed of projectiles to cause more damage).

The majority of weapon upgrades require a whetblade. It's one of three Power Dices and a different amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be obtained by finishing side quests, taking out a certain number of bosses or monsters, or through the Weapon Upgrade NPC located in Central Flarine.

Upgrades to a weapon, equipment Set piece or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade price that is based on a specific number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the more bars you will need to complete the upgrade. The cost of upgrading will be less if you have more than one of the upgrade materials.

In Chapter 2: Season 5 the way you upgrade weapon and equipment sets has changed a bit. Prior to Chapter 2: Season 5 you could upgrade your weapon or equipment by paying a specific amount of Bars. You could do this until the weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level, at which point the upgrades would be reset.

You can still do this but the process is based on RNG and low on agency. You're better off buying gear that has low levels of upgrade, but high base scores and stat distributions. These items will have a better chance of giving you the most prestigious tier of blessings and perks.

Most players will want to prioritize upgrades to the weapons they most often use to make sure they are able to level up faster. Players should also upgrade the weapons their squadmates use to boost their strength. Shepard for instance should upgrade his M92F so that he can unlock the Beretta M93R. This will make the weapon more effective when used with biotic specialists such as Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels can be used to boost the stats of a character or to provide additional effects on weapons and armor. Jewelry crafting is a method of creating them. You combine gemstones with specific reagents on a table. The higher the level of the gemstone, the better its secondary effect. These reagents are available from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses around the world, or by salvaging Legendary Gear. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Prism.

The Jeweler can boost the quality of a gem in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. The stat boosts will vary depending on the tier the jewel is in when it is inserted into jewelry, weapons or equipment.

The Jeweler can create all kinds of gems, except for the rare and legendary ones which require an appropriate level to obtain. Like other upgrade item components jewels are able to be swapped with another identical jewel without destroying the original one. However you can only swap out a jewel in an item of equipment once.

Using more jewels in the movement will make it more smooth and Item Upgrader kit is typically performed to enhance the aesthetics of the movement. The jewels also improve performance and make a harder surface than steel so that repeated friction caused by pivots does not cause damage to the movement.

A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs to enhance the appearance of your weapons and shields. These provide a small bonus and can be swapped freely however they aren't guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded as jewelry, by visiting the Jeweler for gold and scattered Crystal. Glyphs may also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as traits and aegis, aren't swappable and are only recoverable by using an Upgrade Extractor, or by salvaging them using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets can provide your hero with a variety of small, but valuable, advantages. They are available in the start-up area as rewards for personal stories or loot. They can also be obtained from vendors and by doing road interaction. They can be purchased from the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.

The first trinket a player can unlock is the cloak. It grants a small, but useful bonus in movement speed and the ability to escape. After that, they can purchase amulets, rings and necklaces in a similar manner to the way a player acquires weapons and armor. Each piece of gear comes with one upgrade slot that can accommodate either a universal upgrade or a jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be used on any equipment. Jewels are not upgradeable or replaced and are only compatible with certain trinkets.

These trinkets also provide additional buffs and skills that are active even when the character is not fighting. This lets a hero be more efficient while inactive. It can also compensate for the absence of excellent slot in the talent tree or team which are usually filled by a hero's top stats.

In general trinket upgrades should be a priority BiS (Best item upgrader in Slot) items that you aren't likely to replace soon. Then, you should consider any items with desirable stats that aren't as significant as the iLevel of the item upgrader kit (simply click maps.google.com.sl) to be upgraded. This is especially true if you are looking to upgrade multiple stats on an item. It's more beneficial to upgrade a single important stat instead of two subpar ones.

Jungle players often upgrade their yellow trinkets to a red trinket at the start of the game. Top and mid players however, will choose a pink or green ward, depending on the matchup. These choices will have a significant impact on the hero's abilities to control maps.

In addition to the items listed above, players can also find other trinkets that form of rewards and trophies throughout the game. These can be obtained by completing certain milestones within the story. For example, completing the main quest of a chapter or beating a boss. They can be viewed by selecting the relevant achievement in the reward tab of the hero menu.
