4. Cybex Aton

Cybex is a name that is known for producing seats that are of high-quality and have easy-to-use features. This seat is no exception. It is one of our favorite car seats for infants. This is largely because of its design and the fact that it is compatible with all Cybex strollers and some from other brands too to be used as a Travel System. The seat also comes with great safety features.

In our Infant Car Seats test The Cybex Aton scored above average in both rear-facing and forward-facing installation as well as ease of use. The headrest can be adjusted to 11 different heights and has a no-rethread harness that makes it easy to keep the straps properly adjusted as your child gets. Cybex seats also feature an extra load leg at the base to prevent the risk of a crash causing rotation and anti-rebound protection to help keep your child in the center of the seat.

The Aton is iSize-approved since birth and can be used in conjunction with Cybex Base M for an additional level of security. It also features an innovative side impact protection that is linear that absorbs and redirects the forces of collision away from your baby. Unfortunately, the Aton's short shell might not fit compact cars in the same way as other models. The canopy is also small and does not have a peek-a-boo window.

Another issue is the price tag. It's a pricey seat particularly when you consider how much better it performs than most others in our tests. There are other great options on the market at lower prices.
